Multiple Color Tulip Twist Quilt

Maybe you would like to make a Tulip Twist Quilt with tulips of four different colors as shown in the lap quilt pictured to the left!

For all sizes of quilts, background, floral print (pale green in this pic), green leaf and accent fabric requirements remain the same as indicated on the pattern cover.

Estimated fabric requirements for Tulips in multiple colored quilt:

For Throw quilt you will need 3/8 yd of four tulip flower fabrics and 1/4 yard of four coordinating tulip center fabrics.

For the Twin quilt you will need 1/2 yd of four tulip flower fabrics and 3/8 of a yard of four coordinating tulip center fabrics.

For the Queen Quilt you will need 5/8 yd of four tulip flower fabrics and 1/2 yard of four coordinating tulip center fabrics.

Follow Tulip Twist pattern directions to cut out patches for quilt.  When cutting Tulip and Tulip centers cut 1/4th of required patches from each of the four colors of Tulips that will be in your quilt.  Note: if the quilt requires a number of patches not evenly divisible by 4  first round up the number of patches to a number evenly divisible by 4 then divide, for instance if you need 10 patches to be cut from the tulip fabrics you would round up the 10 to 12 divide by 4 to get 3 and you would cut 3 patches from each of the four tulip fabrics.

Sewing: Use the picture above to help you place the correct color fabric patches in Blocks A and B. Note: Color placement for all Blocks A will always be the same!  There will be two different color variations for Block B. The different blocks are outlined and labeled in the bottom 2 rows of the quilt picture above .
